Primrose Bank is an elegant Edwardian residence, sympathetically converted into a purposeful residential home for the elderly. The home is a family-run business and was opened in February 1988 by current proprietors Jacqueline Moore and Eleanor Abbas.
Since then the home has gained an excellent reputation among health care professionals and residents and strives to maintain it’s high standard of care and facilities in a homely environment.
Our staff are at the heart of our business and have been chosen, not only for their experience but also for their dedication to care and attention. They choose to work at Primrose Bank because they wish to provide a personal service in a calm, happy and efficient environment.
We constantly strive to offer our staff the best training and opportunities for progression that are available. Working alongside the Lancashire Workforce Development Partnership and our training partner, in training, to provide relevant, accredited training and certification.
All care staff must meet the minimum training and induction standards set out by the CQC and are then supported through NVQ levels 2 through 5. This, coupled with thorough health and safety training means all our residents are cared for in a safe and professional environment.
Inspections and regulation
The regulatory body for all Care Homes in England is the Care Quality Commission [CQC] who produce ‘Inspection Reports’. Primrose Bank is inspected annually and we encourage all residents and relatives to read the reports, which are available here, on the CQC website.
ISO9001:2008 is a nationally and internationally recognised quality standard and has provided Primrose Bank with a solid framework around which we have developed a documented system of quality management.
The ISO System allows us to measure the quality of our work, meaning we can demonstrate that excellent standards exist, and that we are continually improving.
It is easy to claim that a home is providing quality of service and good standards. We can demonstrate by virtue of our ISO9001:2008 certificate and the continuous independent surveillance of the standards together with our documentary evidence that we are actually providing excellent standards.
