How does a Care Home differ from a Nursing Home?

Primrose Bank Residential Care home is a comfortable, homely environment where residents can relax, feel at home, talk with friends and become involved in conversation and activities as much as they wish. Giving residents personal one-to-one attention and opportunities for mental and physical stimulation where they live helps them to maintain awareness and to stay alert in the last years of their lives. Primrose Bank is primarily ‘a home’ for our residents. We provide the 24 hour supervision and care and the necessary arrangements for their day to day living – including doctors’ visits, hair dressers, meals and medications and entertainment etc. that a person would need to make their lives fulfilling and comfortable. We do not have Qualified Nurses on duty but can access input from the local District nurses if required.
